Hello 2025…

~ the enchantment of a new path.

We’re three weeks into the new year and so much has happened already. The fires in the greater Los Angeles area are mind numbing to fathom. That city holds a beloved place in my heart as it was home to so many foundational starts for me (yoga, meditation, breathwork, acting, writing, and significant, long-lasting friendships). In addition to checking in with my circle of friends there, I hope everyone there is safe, finding nurturing community with family and loved ones, and keeping their spirits up. And there’s the edge of our seats waiting game about the status of TikTok. While I was off the app for some time because of my social media detox, I recently got back on as one of my businesses has an account. And I gotta tell ya, it’s so good to be back. TikTok is such an impactful lifeline for hundreds of millions of people for community, humor, exchanging of ideas and information (vegetarian and vegan recipes anyone? Let’s go!), and a significant launching pad/foundation for many entrepreneurs. I have a feeling something is going to turn for the better re: TikTok, meaning it may end up sticking around, which would be wonderful.

I go on nature walks from time to time here in San Francisco. This gem, pictured above, caught my eye not too long ago. What’s so special about this particular area is I hadn’t seen it until recently. And I walk this trail often. The gorgeous trees covered in leaves from top to bottom, including their trunks resemble something out of a movie. Upon first glance I almost anticipated a forest gnome peering around a tree ready to greet me with a boisterous smile. And then there’s the curiously inviting winding path that silently beckons one to walk it. How had I not seen this before? It felt like I was laying eyes on a whole new world. In many instances, it was. I decided to lean into my adventurous nature and walk the path. Enveloped in the afternoon dew, the orchestral hum of forest insects, and the subtle vibratory sound of nature accompanied me on this new path. I veered to the right, then the left, then I trekked uphill to be surprisingly met with a new elevated path complete with options. Left or right? I chose to veer left and after more walking, I found myself at the base of the Legion of Honor, my favorite museum in the city.

And that’s when it clicked. 2025 is a year to be curious and open to exploring new paths. This is a year to lean into the possibility of unchartered territory. But most importantly, release fear, doubt, and bewilderment and embrace unorthodox. A delightful experience is likely to be on the other side of your choice. 2025 is also very honestly showing itself to be not necessarily an easy year. Trust me, we’ve ALL had something to navigate and we’re only three weeks in. What’s different however is the sense of newness and rebirth IF we allow it. It’s already happening with me. For the longest time, my trajectory of becoming a licensed clinical psychologist was bolted to the ground. Now, that has changed. While my fascination and love for psychology remains strong, going deeper into other academic fields for graduate school that enrich my understanding of Women’s Spirituality is stronger. More importantly, it’s right…for me. And this is because I can be unattached to what isn’t. And that’s okay. I recently attended a Life Surge event that literally changed my life…for the better. One of the amazing speakers shared with us that “it’s okay to be okay.” So, in conclusion, am I saying 2025 is going to be an easy year? Absolutely not. However, this year can be an enchanted new path if you allow it to be by going in a new direction. Namasté lovelies…
